Younger Next Year: Live Strong, Fit, and Sexy - Until You’re 80 and Beyond
Author(s) Chris Crowley
Henry Lodge, MD
Notes This book was recommended to me by Lisa Kern, MD. At first I thought it didn’t apply to me because it addresses retired men in their 60s! But the more I read, the more inspiration and information I got. Very readable. Told through both the patient, Chris (an entertaining retired lawyer providing the humor and motivation) and a medical doctor, Henry (explaining the science and motivation). The book is about how to slow the aging process, how getting older is inevitable, but feeling old is not. It is written for men, but applies to women as well. They’ve written a companion book, Younger Next Year for Women, that I haven’t read but have been told it is equally as good. With sound advice and Chris’s personal story, this book can be truly life changing. It has changed mine by renewing my commitment to self care.
